Harin Matrawadia, Rajkot: The impact of natural agriculture on the agricultural world of Saurashtra is changing. The efforts of the progressive farmers of Saurashtra and the results of natural farming are giving a new direction of employment to the small and marginal farmers by greatly reducing the cost of production.  Progressive farmer from Rajkot who is a doctor by profession but with a hobby of natural farming, he has made 12 to 15 Gir cows in his 20 Vigha farm in Jashwantpur village near Rajkot and made inventions to inspire other farmers to do full natural farming. Progressive farmer Dr. Rameshbhai Prapik  Regarding agriculture, he said that seven years ago, they planted Kharek in 10 out of 20 bighas of land in Jashwantpur village by tissue culture method.
 They have been producing Kharek for four years.  Elaborating further, he said that using cow based and completely natural manure does not require the use of any other medicine.  There are 60 Kharek trees in one acre of Vigha land and Kharek starts appearing on each tree from March and is harvested in June-July.  Currently, 50 to 60 kg of Kharek is harvested on a tree.  Thus, a total production of 14,000 kg of Kharek is estimated in ten vigha of land.  In comparison to other crops, they have got Mabalakh production in Kharek.  The income per tree is Rs. 5 to 7 seven thousand.
